RELATIONAL & SOMATIC THERAPIST IN LA
You’re here because slowing down feels unfamiliar, even unsafe.
You know stress is stored in your body, but you’ve always had more "important" things to handle.
Somewhere along the way, you learned to shrink yourself—to silence your needs, avoid conflict, suppress emotions, and overextend. But what if prioritizing your well-being didn’t mean letting others down? What if it meant learning to listen to your body’s quiet wisdom, so stress no longer runs the show?

I’ve been there. Growing up as a woman of color, I didn’t always feel like I had the space to be seen, heard, or fully understood.
Anxiety followed me long before I even knew what to call it, shaping the way I moved through the world—holding back, overanalyzing, and struggling to feel at ease in my own skin.
Like you, I thought I just needed to push through, to keep going despite the exhaustion and self-doubt. I didn’t realize that the patterns keeping me stuck weren’t just personal shortcomings—they were deeply rooted in intergenerational trauma, systemic barriers, and the unspoken rules I had learned about who I was allowed to be.
I began to understand that healing isn’t about "fixing" yourself—it’s about recognizing the survival state I was in and cultivating safety from within. Through therapy, somatic healing, and mind-body practices, I learned how to regulate my nervous system, express my needs without guilt, and truly reclaim my sense of self.
Now, I help others do the same.
AND GUESS WHAT?
Maybe you don’t even recognize your burnout because you’ve been too busy…
- Thinking that your struggles “aren’t that bad” or that “others have it worse”.
- Swallowing your feelings to avoid conflict because you’d prefer to stay quiet than to actually speak your truth
- Overextending yourself to meet expectations because deep down you tie your worth to what others think of you

- Saying yes to things you wanted to say no to, because you don’t like letting people down
But here’s the truth:
Emotions don’t disappear when you suppress them. They settle into your body, waiting to be heard
Healing begins when you bring awareness and recognize the patterns that have kept you stuck—and give yourself permission to exhale, to release, to come home to yourself.
Here’s what I believe:
You were never meant to live in a constant state of survival.
You deserve more than just getting through the day—you deserve to feel present, grounded, and deeply connected to yourself.
It’s possible to release years of tension, self-silencing, and emotional exhaustion when you have the right tools to regulate your nervous system, express your needs without guilt, and reclaim the parts of yourself you’ve had to suppress to survive.
My purpose is to help you shift from survival mode to true self-trust—so you can set boundaries with confidence, rest without guilt, and experience life beyond just productivity. Healing isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.

Hello, I’m Chelsey Reese
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Relational and Somatic Therapist, Certified Sound Healer, and 200HR Registered Yoga Teacher.
I’ve spent over 5 years helping high achieving women build self-awareness by tuning in to what’s happening in their bodies so that they can connect to the present moment, release trauma and stress, and make meaningful connections with the world around them.
My approach is collaborative, social justice informed, and rooted in embodied awareness. I’ve helped lots of women just like you and have been honored to witness their incredible transformations.

I wasn’t always where I am today
I used to think that being well meant having it all together and never messing up.
I dealt with perfectionism and imposter syndrome… burying my true feelings. Feeling anxious all the time felt exhausting.
Over time I learned to get curious about what my body was trying to tell me and move from a place of self compassion so I could show up with more abundance and ease.
Healing is not just something we think about
It’s something we feel, move through, and embody.
Through therapy, yoga, sound healing, and community care, I help women of color step into their fullest selves—to live an abundant life.
It's time to experience the power of liberation—the moment we release what no longer serves us and reclaim our happiness on our own terms.
Let’s work together to help you regulate your nervous system, set boundaries without guilt, and unlock the parts of yourself that you’ve had to silence—so you can feel more grounded, present, and at peace in your own life.
