Holistic therapy in Culver City for women ready to heal from the inside out

If you’re living in Culver City and feeling like you’re always “on”—holding it together, pushing through, and silencing your own needs—this is your invitation to pause. I’m Chelsey Reese, a Black female therapist offering holistic therapy for women of color. My work centers nervous system healing, trauma recovery, and somatic support so you can reconnect with your body and finally feel like yourself again. Here, therapy isn’t about fixing—it’s about remembering who you are underneath the pressure to perform.

How it works

01

Start where you are—not where you think you “should” be

In our first conversation, you’ll have space to unpack all the weight you’ve been carrying—whether it’s emotional, physical, or relational. We’ll gently explore if holistic therapy feels like the kind of care your body and mind have been asking for. No pressure, no perfect words—just a chance to breathe. I’ve got you from there.

02

No scripts. Just what your body needs

We begin where you are. If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or tangled in past pain, we’ll gently attune to your body’s signals and follow its lead. No more powering through. Just a space to ease in, breathe, and meet yourself with tenderness.

03

Where science meets soul

I integrate a blend of evidence-based and somatic modalities to support deep, sustainable healing. These include Somatic Experiencing, Relational Gestalt Therapy, and trauma-informed mindfulness practices. Together, we’ll move at the pace of your nervous system—so healing feels safe, grounded, and lasting.

Chelsey has been a mentor to me in many ways. She has a warm, patient, thoughtful presence that is consistent and unmoving, and the ability to closely contact whatever arises in a calm and non judgemental way that allows for connection. Highly recommend!

Chelsey and I recently led a group and I was in awe of her ability to hold space, give others feedback, and stay regulated throughout the course. Chelsey was a supportive, caring, and wonderful co-facilitator. I learned so much from her!

Julia Willinger

She's phenomenal. I've had a few different therapists during my mental health journey, but Chelsea is the first one to actually make me feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable. She reminds me that it's okay to acknowledge my feelings, instead of bottling them up in order to process the situation that brought that particular feeling up. I spent a long time feeling invisible; my sessions with Chelsea remind me that I'm here, and I matter. It feels good to feel seen and understood.
