Holistic therapy in Hollywood for women ready to reclaim their inner rhythm

If you're feeling emotionally exhausted, like you're constantly performing but no longer connected to yourself you’re not alone. I’m Chelsey Reese, a holistic therapist offering trauma-informed care for women of color moving through burnout, identity shifts, and nervous system overwhelm. My approach blends somatic therapy and deep emotional healing to help you feel grounded, not just functional. In a city where it’s easy to get lost in the noise, this space is your invitation to come back to your body and your truth.

How it works

01

Start where you are—not where you think you “should” be

When we first connect, we’ll slow things down. You don’t need a plan, perfect words, or a full emotional breakdown to justify being here. If your chest feels tight, if your smile is tired, or if your body has been whispering “enough,” that’s more than enough. We’ll listen together and let that be the starting point.

02

No scripts. Just what your body needs

Our sessions won’t follow a rigid formula because your healing can’t be scheduled. Each one meets you exactly where you are, whether you’re learning to soften your freeze response, exploring deep relational wounds, or just needing space to rest. We’ll let your body lead with curiosity, care, and consent.

03

Where science meets soul

My work is rooted in evidence-based frameworks like Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Relational Gestalt but always with space for intuition, ritual, and embodied wisdom. You don’t have to hustle to heal. You get to co-create a life that feels safe, sustainable, and soul-led.

  • Somatic therapy

Hollywood’s fast pace can disconnect us from our bodies. Somatic therapy invites you to come back to your inner signals with compassion. Using nervous system tracking, body awareness, and mindful movement, we’ll identify how stress, trauma, and emotion live in your body and begin to gently release what no longer serves you.

  • Yoga and sound baths

Between auditions, deadlines, and digital overwhelm, your nervous system craves stillness. In our yoga and sound healing sessions, you’ll find quiet and recalibration. These practices weave gentle movement with vibrational healing creating space to rest, feel, and reconnect with the parts of you that get muted in the noise.

  • Relational Gestalt therapy

Relationships often come with pressure, performance, and pattern repetition. Relational Gestalt therapy helps you understand how your past experiences shape your present dynamics with friends, partners, family, or even yourself. You’ll learn to recognize emotional cycles and practice showing up with authenticity and self-trust.

The grind of LA life can keep you in chronic fight-or-flight. Nervous system regulation therapy offers a reset. Through somatic tools, breathwork, and polyvagal-informed strategies, you’ll begin to build capacity for rest, connection, and joy. Healing doesn’t have to be overwhelming, regulation gives you the foundation for real change.

  • Somatic trauma

Whether it’s childhood trauma, racial trauma, or relationship wounds, unprocessed pain can linger in the body long after the mind has moved on. Somatic trauma therapy allows your body to complete stress cycles, release tension, and rebuild safety. No more carrying it all alone.

  • Sound meditation for anxiety

If anxiety has been living in your chest or buzzing in your mind, sound meditation can be a gentle entry point. Using tuning forks, singing bowls, and breath-based presence, we’ll work with your body’s vibrational field to lower stress and restore emotional balance.

Chelsey has been a mentor to me in many ways. She has a warm, patient, thoughtful presence that is consistent and unmoving, and the ability to closely contact whatever arises in a calm and non judgemental way that allows for connection. Highly recommend!

Haley Winer

Chelsey and I recently led a group and I was in awe of her ability to hold space, give others feedback, and stay regulated throughout the course. Chelsey was a supportive, caring, and wonderful co-facilitator. I learned so much from her!

Julia Willinger

She's phenomenal. I've had a few different therapists during my mental health journey, but Chelsea is the first one to actually make me feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable. She reminds me that it's okay to acknowledge my feelings, instead of bottling them up in order to process the situation that brought that particular feeling up. I spent a long time feeling invisible; my sessions with Chelsea remind me that I'm here, and I matter. It feels good to feel seen and understood.
